Pork Pie
Beaver Fur Felt, Panama Straw
Also known as a closed telescope, the Pork Pie has a short flat-topped round crown with an indentation all the way around slightly resembling a moat. A less sharp indentation will give you a variation known as the open telescope. Dont be alarmed if you encounter a Pork Pie with a western brim, it was common in the wild west, mid-19th century, until the traditional cowboy became the dominant species. The Pork Pie has been recently grazing the noggins of Jazz and Ska communities but never limits itself to those persuasions.
The Pork Pie had origins in women's style, and was named after its resemblance to the tasty meat filled Pork Pie.
